COMMUNICATION - CITIZENSHIP - LEADERSHIP

WELCOME TO EARLY ACHIEVERS 4-H CLUB

Early Achievers 4-H Club is an active group of youth, grades 3 through 12, working hard to make the world and especially our community a better place. The club completes a large array of citizenship (community service) projects each year. Here are a few:

• Valentine’s Day Dinner
• Sac County Relay for Life
• Planting flowers in Early
• Secret Santa and Christmas meals for Sac County
• Early Library Summer Reading Program
• Christmas Goodie Bags for Early Residents

As a club they also generously give back to the 4-H program through

•4-H’ers for 4-H campaign each year
•Baking cookies for the Northwest Iowa 4-H Foundation Golf Tournament

Our members learn life skills such as communications, citizenship, leadership, livestock, agronomy, clothing, food and nutrition, home improvement, consumer management, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), photography and much more!

Fun, discovering new skills, and becoming better citizens is a part of life for our members. We have an overnight lock-in, annual father member softball game, mother member meeting and family fun night to celebrate our successes and hard work. The Early Achievers consistently have a large percentage of Sac County Fair participants and winners. We have fun!

For questions about Early Achievers, contact any of our leaders. Barb and Steve Determan, Tracy and Steve Pickhinke, Denise Pickhinke, Jennifer Movall, Nathan and Jamie Blum, Christy Horan, or Toni McAleer.
